iPad Games: Frankenstein The Dismembered Bride HD
I am usually a great fan of Gameloft, but occasionally they are a bit hit-and-miss. On the one hand they develop fantastic action games like Modern Combat Sandstorm HD, then on the other hand you get a turkey like Frankenstein – The Dismembered Bride HD. This game should be superb; after all, Frankenstein is a gothic icon and would lend itself perfectly to an adventure game. The Gameloft developer for this app, however, seems to have decided to put aside the dark sinister chill of a Shelly-styled masterpiece, and instead design a weak tongue-in-cheek Rocky Horror version. And it doesn’t even have the ‘Time Warp’.
iPad Wallpapers: Terrifying Military Explosions
I’ve not been in the military, although many members of my family have. In recent history we’ve been a naval family with both my uncle and my cousin in the service. Like many people, my grandfather fought during WWII and my great uncle died in the trenches of WWI. Without stating the obvious, war is nasty and terrifying. The most chilling image to me is a nuclear explosion. Let’s hope that none of us or our children ever see any of these…
iPad App Reviews: SoundPaper Creates Note Taking Genius
Developer David Estes had hit jackpot with this fantastic note-taking app for the iPad. It is without doubt the best in its class, and an absolute must for college students everywhere. SoundPaper not only allows you to take notes, it also records the audio content of your lecture. The best thing, however, is what you can do afterwards with this information…

iPad Wallpapers: More Military Hardware
Continuing our military theme, this wallpaper gallery gives you some of the largest ground-based machinery ever made: military tanks. Invented by the British during WWI, the tank is now an essential part of any army’s arsenal and plays a vital role in current theaters of war. The US have used tank divisions to startling effect in the Middle East, as they work hand in hand with infantry ground forces in coordination with air attacks. Here are a few of those mighty metal warriors.
iPad Games: ADJewels HD Free Underwhelms
ADJewels is a game full of matching swapping goodness. It’s based on a simple board game concept, versions of which have been available on desktops for years. This is another simple game: match, move, and swap; get 3 or more jewels in a row to earn coins. There are also ‘mystery masks’ as quests from level to level involving the use of keys to unlock chests.
