iPad App Reviews: Survival Pocket Ref For Wilderness Wanderers
This is another great survival app in a similar vain to the US Army Survival Guide already reviewed here on iPad.net. This particular app gathers together survival information from every section of the US military including the army, air force and navy. Not only is this indispensable for anyone who enjoys their time in the wilderness, it is also just a fascinating read. As a city dweller I actually don’t have much 1st hand need for this app, but I’m glad to have it on my iPad – it’s so interesting.

iPad Games: Modern Combat Sandstorm HD Totally Far Out
How good is Gameloft? This is the second ‘1st Person Shooter’ I’ve looked at recently, and again it is totally amazing. A few weeks’ ago we became a 2 iPad family, following my teenaged son’s birthday. He’s regularly online with his iPad playing the multiplayer Modern Combat Sandstorm HD with his friends. I’ve joined them a couple of times too and it really is a thrilling game as you go into war together. It shames me to admit, however, that Jack is so much better at this than me!
