iPad App Reviews: Knot Guide HD For Outdoors Adventurers
For all those planning a late summer expedition into the backwoods this app is an essential. As you know from some of my previous apps, I like to take my boys camping (we went at the weekend for an over-nighter as it happens) and one of the things they enjoy is building bivouacs. Knot Guide HD came in very useful for this in helping us find useful knots, and we also used it as entertainment to try out new ones. If you’re involved with scouting, cadets or junior rangers this app is a brilliant find. It may also come in useful for recreational sailors or climbers. Developer Winkpass Creations also have a Climbing Knots Guide app that I’ll review tomorrow.

iPad App Reviews: FileMaker Go For iPad is Manna For Business
As a business app, FileMaker Go is astonishing in its scope. It’s a fully interactive companion to your company’s desktop FileMaker databases and forms an essential tool for team members who are not office-bound. FileMaker Go For iPad allows you to keep in touch with your team on the move by providing them with real-time database updates such as stock inventory, customer details and new contacts to name but three. For those using it in the field, it is a way of updating the data in situ then transferring this to the main system upon arrival back at the office. FileMaker Go For iPad is an absolute gift for any business with mobile sales teams, those involved in PR, marketing or advertising; it’s an app suitable for the smallest partnership firm right through to vast industry leaders. This app is amazing.
iPad App Reviews: All-in YOGA HD: 200 Poses and Classes
I have a confession to make. I don’t know very much about yoga; in fact I know nothing. So how, you may ask, am I able to review this app? Well, that’s easy… My girlfriend is a fitness trainer, and although she doesn’t teach a yoga class, she practices yoga as her part of her weekly routine. All it took was the promise of my cooking a nice dinner plus some flowers, and she gave All-in YOGA HD the once over! It turns out that this is probably the best yoga app available for the iPad yet. Not only is it bursting with quality content, its intuitive interactivity from beginners through experts make it a pleasure to use as a virtual yoga trainer.

iPad App Reviews: Army Ranger Handbook For The Best of The Best
Double Dog Studios bring you yet another fantastic iPad version of a US Military handbook, this time covering the elite fighting units that are the US Rangers. Most famous for its 75th Regiment, the US Rangers are the Special Operations wing of the US Army and have been used in covert and extreme theaters of war since their inception in the 17th century. These are the boys that take no prisoners (as it were) and Army Ranger Handbook gives you an intriguing insight into the activities and training of one of the best military units in the world.
